Service GEIX is a distributed peering point. Unlike many others which are local peering points, GEIX passes throught four great european cities and allows operators to peer across hundreds of kilometers.Operators directly meet in the same ethernet broadcast area, and establish direct peering sessions in BGP4 in accordance with each others published policies. A route collector gives exhaustive listing of the operators present on the peering network. The Looking Glass allows you to observe the actual connectivity and operator presence on the
peering node. It allows you to get BGP information about all sessions established by the route
reflector. Prerequisites GEIX wishes to welcome small and middle size operators and ISPs and help with an "exchange community" vision. In order this community to exist, all participants have to satisfy a few requirements for better and easier interoperability and agreement.
